The best example of Burmese spoonerism is the poem : shwe la ye tha, phyin ko kha lo phya ko khin.....which is translated as: the moon is bright/place the mat and plat the mace.........(from Dr. Hla Pe's Literature, Historiography, Scholarship, Language, Life and Buddhism, ISEAS, 1985).
