Major spat between Writers Guild of America and agents/agencies' conflict of interest.

These 2 and other articles only address packaging for screenplays, TV productions

but I imagine it is major conflict of interest in books too.

My packager now calls himself a publisher--does not do packaging work any more.  So far catalog not very large--but--

And I used to think finding an agent would solve my problems--well--

Now it's best to join WGA.  Think if GRR Martin did not get % for his own intellectual property.  Characters he created and lived with.

It's true as David Ng wrote that industry is changing very fast and so WRITERS need their rights protected.
