Wow--Chinese -Jingye owned steel plant (blast furnace) in UK making virgin steel may have to be closed due to Trump tariffs.
This is a long thread--scroll up and down. Blast furnaces require very high temperatures and like glass furnaces, can't be closed. My engineer-relative trained in Champaign Urbana told me about a horrific Burmese glass factory, located wrongly in the Irrawaddy Delta. I'll tell you this story some other time.

This illustrates the truth of Milton Friendman's Pencil--
There are bilateral trade agreements everywhere--
So Trump's "reciprocal tariiffs" non-theory--is completely BS.
Faulty understanding of how things work.
If the components of a simple seeming thing like a pencil come from somany difft places, think of more complex items??
And it's true all of T's so-called policies are ah yoo chee pan,Burmese-term for rock music--"mad man pooping all over the place."
I propose you use these Burmese terms get into at least American English, like the Hispanic "cohones."
My father would say saik hway zii--goats' balls.
