King Uthompon's Tomb--(The Fig Flower King)--read more about him in my The Rider of Crocodiles.

The Burmese king associated with a burial site near the Thai border isn't a Burmese king, but rather a captured Siamese King, Uthumphon, whose funerary monument is located at Linzin Hill graveyard in Amarapura, near Mandalay, Myanmar, close to historical border regions, though not right on the modern border; he was brought to Burma by King Hsinbyushin after the conquest of Ayutthaya and died in captivity.
Key Details:
Who: King Uthumphon of Ayutthaya (Siam).
Why he's in Burma: He was captured by Burmese forces during the Burmese-Siamese War (1765–1767) and taken to Burma as a prisoner of war.
Where: His tomb is a large monument on Linzin Hill, Amarapura, Mandalay Division, Myanmar.
C
onnection to Thailand: While not a Burmese king, his tomb is significant for Thai-Burmese history, representing a period of conflict and captivity, and its preservation has been a point of interest for both nations.
Therefore, the king in question is a Thai king buried in Burma, not a Burmese king buried near the border.
