Burma, America, The World, Art, Literature, Political Economy through the eyes of a Permanent Exile. "We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the oppressed. Sometimes we must interfere. . . There is so much injustice and suffering crying out for our attention . . . writers and poets, prisoners in so many lands governed by the left and by the right." An excellent, excellent movie--The Burial--On a par with Mississippi Burniing--
You can see it on Amazon Prime--based on a real life case and the original story in the New Yorker.
Court scenes--the funeral monopoly that screwed all the poor people has to pay up.
The star Black Lawyer never loses.
Staring Jamie Fox and Tommy Lee Jones--also produced by Jamie Fox--audience rating 5 out of 5 stars.
If you believe in the court system and the rule of law, and everyone's right to be heard, you will like this.
Also like To Kill a Mocking Bird and A Man for All Seasons.
Oh, and a famous essay called The American Way of Death--which I read in my eldest son's English text book in college in America.
