Movie lost money big time, but it still remains excellent.

In Burma I gave lectures on Isreali Kibbutzim, believe it or not, while talking about Soviet and Chinese collective farms.
Professor of Agricultural Ecos and Dept Head, U Tha Hto and I were once examiners for a DEP Diploma on Eco. Planning student's paper--
At one point Saya "Guru" U Tha Hto said, "Why, this is an account of all the livestock that died at the co-ops."
I attempted to keep a straight face.
For some reason, the poeple who planned these things paired me with U Tha Hto.
Another time one student who worked at a State-Owned enterprise started to tell us of all the antiquue sculptures that the Navy officer in charge had taken home.
One time one summer during one of the "re-embelishment" classes, all our staff seemed rushing off to U Tha Hto's classes.
"You have to come listen," one tutor told me, "he's talking about the junta,"
But I didn't go.
In Poland where I was 8 months winter of 1968-69, we were taken to a co-op farm, where the food was much better than at the dorms.
A friend also took me to a blackmarket across the Vistula River, when I could not find a coat at the State Store, and winter was coming.
That's why I don't believe in central planning.
But I don't believe in totally free markets or the profit motive either.
I don't believe in God either.
