Very good movie--set in Jackson, Mississipi--The Help.

Previously, due to the title, I thought it was a romcom like The Nanny.

But instead it's a serious story about Civil Rights, almost as good as Mississipi Burning.

A bit slow going,rough going, but worth it.

Made by Participant Media, which also made Lincoln, Malala, Kite Runner, Syriana.

It stopped production in 2024--partly due to Hollywood writers' strike--a real pity.

In 2015 I queried them about my novel Wolf, and got a nice rejection and a phone call.
