Typically, it's not easy to meet other writers or artists--and this group survives bc the group leader

runs things so very well and is such a giving sort of person.

I've only met NC a couple of times over about 26 years--

and she has edited one of my short stories--but she gave me a book coupon when I was recovering from cancer (treatment) and she has sort of nurtured me for decades

so--Thank you.

In this country and this age--it's important to constantly reach out.

I don't know how I did it, but I was able to go up to a US Congressman and hand him a gift that I had spent months making (without knowing whom I would give it to), as well as a letter. (The Congressman also had cancer, and a grown son committed suicide, which was so tragic,but he's still working. )

I'm not normally good at networking, but I can write and I do live in a beautifull country and state and village--and it would all be so great if someone better, more humane, were at the helm.

That said, don't use FB or X--use Blue Sky,Substack and LnkedIn--

Read everything except Fox News.

And I hope the New Year 2026 is better for all of us--but it certainly is not starting well.

I miss my university days--which spanned--1960s-80s at Rangoon U and then 13 years in Phila, and 10 years w Exile Gov.
