I've loved all his previous stories, In Search of Alexander the Great, The Story of India, his pieces on The Doomsday Book, etc. and this (book) is something I look fwd to reading soon.
I probably will "shut my eyes" and pay to watch the TV series too.
I could not read Edward Rutherford's (novel) China--though I liked his London and salisbury novels a lot, in fact still remember a lot about these books.
Ah well.
