AFP--China's sprawling rail projects across Asia
https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/asia/chinas-sprawling-rail-projects-around-asia.html
In the 1970s my uncle U Shwe Shane worked for ECAFE/ESCAP in charge of Asia rail projects and it was sadness of his life that then Burma was not included.
Now it's again excluded.
At the beginning of WW II he was almost sent to the River Kwai by the Japanese (invasion).
Much to read from the Atlantic--incld--Friday Night Massacre.
