Special post--Sean O'Casey--Juno and the Paycock.
https://archive.org/details/junopaycockbysea0000sean/page/10/mode/2up?view=theater
I've only ever seen another Sean O'Casey play, when I was ushering at Annenberg Center and assistant house managering, in order to learn how to write plays.
Burmese are often called the Irish of the East.
I can understand why.
I can't imagine how my favorite literature mentor taught this play to his BA Hons class. And I don't know how my brother 7 years older than I, was in this honors class while I was in Ecos.
He did mention Juno and the Paycock to me,but I had no idea what it was about, and I only thought it's a mispronunciation of "peacock."
I know they read Pygmalion--but that only has class and language in it, not politics.
