Important note--although some Burmese--for instance Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and I, have first and last names--eg. Harn Yawgwe--most

are named by THE DAY OF THE WEEK on which they are born.

Therefore "Nay Lin Myo" and "Myo Nay Lin" for instance are not related to each other at all--

and the whole name is NLM or MNL--and you CANNOT abbreviate.

The only 2 people who have got this straight are Jeremy Woodrum of Free Burma Coalition and Dr. Sean Turnell--formerly Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's economic advisor.
