I definitely saw him in The Last of the Mohicans--

and a sort of NY Mobster story in which he practiced stabbing a pig carcass--

that must have been Gangs of NY.

You completely forget it's a movie and forget it's "acting."

In one scene in Mohicans he rides off on a horse and looks back at someone (probably his lover)

and it is so real.

Also in There will be blood,in which his foster son goes deaf in a drilling rig explosion, he covers his mouth with a handkerchief so his son can't lipread him.

Lincoln was also exceptional--the troubled marriage, the son who would later die in the civil war, the dark lighting before electricity,

the carts full of amputated arms and legs.

I saw a big poster,including on the floor of my subway station in DC, and I bought a ticket and went to see it.

These days what you see on DC streets is heart-breaking--

Tesla Cyber trucks--I've seen 2 over about 5-6 years--not impressed.

Someone I thought was ICE at an intersection, on the day of DJT's big parade when tanks brought into DC.

There used to be ads for art shows such as that for artist who illustrated Orwell's Animal Farm

or ads publicizing not to kill pigs for food.

In Singapore bus ads said "Don't quack like a duck. Speak proper English."
