Of course you failed
what did you expect
your liver soused
from drinking whenever
you’re dejected.
They after all
had the guns.
Your’s is only
one voice
out there
in the wilderness.
You’ve done what you can
now let it be.
Flowers have to be watered every day
don’t you know that?
Seeds have to have soil contact.
Now it’s for them
on the other side of the earth
who hear your voice faintly
to decide
what
they will believe.
