Sketch I made --have to put in color later--inspired by poem a friend of mine wrote. kmk.

Edward Moulton Barrett--the patriarchical father--

You should also read Robert Browning's first letter to Elizabeth Barrett--I have already put it in a novel ms, not explicitly about the Brownings.
So I won't post it here.
Everything is already in the public domain.
Elizabeth was the world's most famous "enforced invalid."
If she hadn't met Browning, she would have eked out her life lying in bed in her bedroom, dosed out on opium which was the opiod of that day.
At least with Robert Browning she lived overseas and had a son.
People do the most horrible things in the name of"love."
It's just a form of control.
