Helen Keller--I met her when I was somewhere between the ages of 7 and 8 or 9.
My father Sithu U Kaung took my sister and me onto the stage where PM U Nu was standing with Helen Keller.
She touched my sister's head with her hand and said, "Isn't this rather too late for you?"
The event was at the open space on U Wisara Road below the West? moat of the Shwedagone Pagoda.
