A teacher of mine once told me one of the most obvious signs of a cult is if they aren't able to show respect to members who dissent. Like how are Liz Cheney or Senator McCain's wife or Mitt Romney doing?

I was born + raised in a cult and was lucky to have escaped. All cults - religious, political, and otherwise - are dangerous. There is an inability to see reality coupled with an unwarranted sense of superiority. It is exactly like living in Orwell’s 1984. The GOP is a cult.
