စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေကို ပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန် ခုခံကာကွယ်နေတဲ့ မြို့တစ်မြို့ဖြစ်တဲ့ စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်း ကနီမြို့၊ တောင်ပေါက်အရှေ့ရွာနားက တောထဲမှာ အသက်မပြည့်သေးတဲ့ ၁၄ နှစ်အရွယ် ကလေးတစ်ဦး အပါအဝင် အသတ်ခံထားရတဲ့ အမျိုးသား ၁၂ ဦးရဲ့ အလောင်းတွေကို ဒေသခံတွေ ဇူလိုင် ၃၁ ရက် မနေ့က တွေ့ရှိခဲ့ ပါတယ်။ Remains of 21 males, incld 14 year old boy, discovered in Kani township, where Resistance to SAC is one of strongest in the country.
ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဇူလိုင် ၂၆ နဲ့ ၂၇ ရက်နေ့တွေမှာ Today Aug 1—one week. ကနီမြို့နယ် တောင်ပေါက်ရွာဘက်ကို စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေ အလုံး အရင်းနဲ့ ဝင်လာချိန်မှာ ရွာသားတွေ ထွက်ပြေးကြရင်းကနေ တချို့အဖမ်းခံလိုက်ရတယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။ Area residents say that on July 26 and 27, when SAC /junta raided in force, citizens had to flee and some were caught.
အခုတွေ့ရှိတဲ့ ရုပ်အလောင်းတွေဟာ အဲဒီအဖမ်းခံရတဲ့ သူတွေထဲက ၁၂ ဦးရဲ့ ရုပ်အလောင်းတွေ ဖြစ်တယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။ Area residents say the 21 corpses discovered today were part of those fleeing (for their lives).
အသတ်ခံထားရသူတွေဟာ ကနီမြို့က သုံးယောက်၊ ခိုတွင်းရွာက နှစ်ယောက်၊ သရက်တောရွာက ခုနှစ်ယောက် ဖြစ်တယ်လို့ သိရပါတယ်။ Dead were 3 from Kani Town, 2 from Kho Twinn Village (Ditch-to-Hide-in Village or Pigeon Hole Village) and 7 from Thayet Taw (Mango Forest) Village.
အဲဒီရုပ်အလောင်းတွေနားမှာ စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေက ကင်းပုန်းချထားတယ်လို့ လုံခြုံရေးအရ နာမည် မဖော်လိုတဲ့ ဒေသခံတစ်ယောက်က RFA ကို ပြောပါတယ်။ Area resident who did not wish to reveal his name for security reasons, said near the corpses, SAC had hidden camps/guards (set a trap/blind)
"အဓိကက သူတို့က ကင်းပုန်းဝပ်နေတာဗျ။ Main point is they are hidden near there, waiting. ကင်းပုန်းဝပ်ပြီးတော့မှ Dead Body တွေကို တည်ကြက်?? သဖွယ် သဘောထားပြီး လာယူရင်တွယ်မယ်ပေါ့။ They are hiding near there, using the dead bodies as bait. Plan to hit us when we try to retrieve bodies. အဲသဘောမျိုး။ That’s their plan. သယ်မရသေးဘူး။ Can’t go get (our comrades) yet. တချို့ဟာတွေက ကိုင်မရလို့ အဲနားတင်မီးရှို့တာ။ Some we can’t touch, so had to burn right there. ပုပ်ပွပြီး ကိုင်လို့မရတဲ့ အနေထားမျိုး ဖြစ်နေတယ်။ Rotten, swollen, we can’t lift them up. ၃၀ ရက်မှာ thirty days? ရွာသား တွေက ဒီလူ ဒီလူတွေပေါ့၊ On the 30th, villagers were saying, this man, that man (is missing). ရွာသားတွေက ရှာကြတော့ မီးလောင်နေတဲ့ ထန်းလက်တဲကို အဝေးကနေ မြင်တယ်။ When villagers went searching, they saw a hut burning from a distance. မြင်နေပေမယ့် အဲနားမှာ စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေက ကင်းပုန်းဝပ်နေတာမို့လို့ မသွားရဲဘူး။ We could see but because of hidden SAC, we did not dare approach yet. အကုန် မသင်္ဂြိုဟ်ရသေးဘူး Have not cremated all yet."
ဖမ်းဆီးသတ်ဖြတ်ခံရပြီး သေဆုံးတဲ့ထဲက အမျိုးသား သုံးယောက်ဟာ မျက်နှာနဲ့ ခန္ဓာကိုယ်အနှံ့မှာ ညိုမဲ ဒဏ်ရာတွေ၊ ဦးခေါင်းနဲ့ ရင်ဘတ်မှာ သေနတ်ဒဏ်ရာတွေနဲ့ တွေ့ခဲ့ရပြီး တခြားသေဆုံးထားသူတွေကိုလည်း ရိုက်နှက်ပြီး မီးရှို့ထားတာ ဖြစ်နိုင်တယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။ Area residents say the faces and bodies on 3 men were badly bruised and discolored, with gunshot wounds –and that other victims may have been similarly tortured and burned.
အဲဒီ အသတ်ခံလိုက်ရတဲ့အထဲမှာ ကနီမြို့က ကိုအောင်မြင့်သူ (၃၂) နှစ်၊ ချင်းတွင်းမောင် (၂၅) နှစ်၊ ဖြိုးကျော်အောင် (၁၈) နှစ်တို့ သုံးယောက်တို့ဟာ ညီအစ်ကိုအရင်းတွေ ဖြစ်ကြပါတယ်။
3 of the dead were brothers—Ko Aung Myint Thu 32 from Kani Town, Chindwin Maung 25, and Phyo Kyaw Aung 18.
"ရိုက်နှက်ပြီးတော့ သတ်ထားတဲ့ ပုံစံမျိုးတွေလည်း တွေ့ရပါတယ်"
They looked like they had been beaten and killed.
သူတို့ သုံးယောက်ဟာ တောင်သူအလုပ်လုပ်ရင်း မီးသွေးဖုတ်တဲ့အလုပ်ပါ လုပ်ကြသူတွေပါ။ The 3 brothers made their livelihood by farming and making charcoal. သူတို့တွေ အဖမ်းခံရပြီး သေဆုံးတဲ့သတင်းကို ကြားရပေမယ့် မိသားစုဝင်တွေကတော့ မျက်မြင်မတွေ့ကြရသေးပါဘူး။ Their family members have heard of their deaths, but as yet have not seen for themselves.
သူတို့အလောင်းတွေကို နွားကျောင်းသွားတဲ့ သူတွေကတွေ့ပြီး အဝတ်အစားတွေကို မှတ်မိတာကြောင့် သူတို့သေတာကို သိရတာလို့ လုံခြုံရေးအရ နာမည်မဖော်ချင်တဲ့ မိသားစုနဲ့ နီးစပ်သူ တစ်ယောက်က RFA ကို ပြောပါတယ်။ Someone close to their family said that a cow herd found the bodies and recognized them by their clothes.

"နွားကျောင်းတဲ့ ကလေးမလေးတွေကနေ အမှတ်မထင်တွေ့တာ။ A young woman herding cows came on them by accident. အဝတ်အစားလေးတွေ မှတ်မိတာကနေ သူတို့သေတယ်လို့ အတည်ပြုတာပါရှင့်။ Was able to identify them by their (poor little) clothes, shint (A feminine polite sentence ending)
နေရာက ကျောက်တံခါးဘက်လို့ ခေါ်တာ ။ The place is called Kyauk Ta Kha[i] Stone Door. ကျောက်တံခါး ချောင်းထဲမှာဖြစ်တာ။ It’s in (sic) near? Kyauk Taga[ii] Stream. တောတောင်သူလုပ်ရင်းနဲ့ဆိုတော့ ချောင်းနားနီး တောတောင်ရေမြေ ကောင်းတဲ့ နေရာမှာ အလုပ်လုပ်နေတာ။ People live near the streams and fertile land and forests ရိုက်နှက်ပြီးတော့ သတ်ထားတဲ့ ပုံစံမျိုးတွေလည်း တွေ့ရပါတယ်။ Also saw they had been beaten and killed. မျက်နှာတွေ ဖူးယောင်နေတာ။ Faces all badly swollen and bloated. ရိုက်နှက်ခံပြီး သေထားတဲ့ပုံစံ တွေ့ရတယ်လို့ ပြောတယ် They said it looked like that had been beaten to death.
ကနီမှာ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဇူလိုင် ၁၀ ရက်က ယင်းရွာနဲ့ ကုန်းသာရွာက စစ်ဘေးရှောင် ၁၆ ယောက် အစုလိုက်အပြုံလိုက် အသတ်ခံခဲ့ရပြီး July 10, 16 Yinn Village residents fleeing junta killed in one batch. 12 +16=28
ဇူလိုင် ၂၇ မှာ ၁ဝ ယောက်ကျော် အစုလိုက် အပြုံလိုက် သတ်ဖြတ်ခံခဲ့ရပါတယ်။July 27, 10 killed အခု ၁၂ ယောက်ဟာ တတိယအကြိမ်မြောက် အစုလိုက်အပြုံလိုက် အသတ်ခံရကြောင်း ရွာသားတွေက ရှာဖွေ တွေ့ရှိခဲ့တာပါ။ i.e. 28 + 12=40 already

အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေကို ရရာလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်ပြီး တော်လှန်နေတဲ့ထဲမှာ ကနီမြို့ဟာ စစ်ကောင်စီ တပ်တွေကို ပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန် ပြန်လည်ခုခံ တော်လှန်နေတဲ့ မြို့တစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
ကနီပြည်သူ့ကာကွယ်ရေးတပ်တွေနဲ့ စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေကြား မကြာခဏ တိုက်ပွဲတွေ ဖြစ်ပွားပြီး စစ်ကောင်စီဘက်က သေဆုံးတာတွေရှိတာကြောင့် ကနီမြို့နယ်ကို ပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန် နှိမ်နှင်းဖို့ ကြိုးစား နေတာဖြစ်မယ်လို့ လုံခြုံရေးအရ နာမည်မဖော်ချင်တဲ့ ဒေသခံတစ်ယောက်က ပြောပါတယ်။
"စစ်ကောင်စီလုပ်နေတဲ့ ပုံစံအရကတော့ ကနီကိုပဲ ပစ်မှတ်ထားသလို ဖြစ်နေတယ်။ The way they are acting, it looks like they are targeting Kani. အထိနာလို့လည်း ဖြစ်နိုင်တယ်။ Could be also bc they got hit hard at Kani. ပြီးတော့ မြေပြန့်မှာ တော်လှန်နေကြတာက ကနီမြို့နယ်က အများဆုံးဖြစ်နေတာကိုး။ Also, on flat land, Resistance is greatest in Kani. ကနီမြို့နယ်ထဲမှာကို တတိယအကြိမ် ဖြစ်ခဲ့တဲ့ဟာဗျ။ This is the 3rd massacre in Kani. စစ်ကောင်စီရောက်လာတာနဲ့ ရွာထဲမှာ မွှေကြ၊ နှောက်ကြတယ်ဗျာ။ Once SAC got into village, they stirred things up. တွေ့ သမျှလူ ဖမ်းတယ်ဆီးတယ်ဗျာ။ Arrested everyone they saw. ဆိုတော့ ရွာထဲကိုဝင်လာပြီဆိုတာနဲ့ ပြေးကြ တာပေါ့။ So of course as soon as we hear they have come into the village, we run. ကိုယ်နဲ့နီးစပ်ရာတောတွေထဲကို ပြေးကြတယ်ဗျာ။ We just run into the nearest forest ပြေးနေလွှားနေတဲ့သူတွေကို ပစ်ခတ် နေတယ်ဆိုတော့ ဘယ်လိုမှကို မပြောချင်တော့ပါဘူး They keep shooting people even as we are running, so I don’t wish to say anything more."
စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်တွေ ဝင်ရောက်ပြီး ပစ်ခတ်ဖမ်းဆီးတာ၊ တောနင်းရွာဖွေတာတွေကြောင့် ဒေသခံတွေလည်း ထွက်ပြေးနေကြရပါတယ်။ They come in and abduct, and also beat the forest to look for us, so we all have to run.
မေန့က မနက်ပိုင်းမှာလည်း စစ်ကောင်စီတပ်သား အင်အားအလုံးအရင်းနဲ့ ဝင်ရောက်ရှာဖွေတာကြောင့် ရွာပေါင်း ခုနစ်ရွာခန့်က ပြည်သူ တစ်သောင်းခန့် ဘေးလွတ်ရာကို ထွက်ပြေးနေရတယ်လို့ အဲဒီ ဒေသခံက ပြောပါတယ်။ This area resident said that as the SAC came in force into 7 villages, 10,000 people had to flee.
"မနေ့က မနက်က မီးသွေးဖုတ်တဲ့ ကလေးတွေက တောပစ်ဖို့ယူသွားတဲ့ တူမီးလေးတွေနဲ့ လှမ်းပစ် လိုက်တော့ သူတို့ကို တိုက်ခိုက်တယ်ထင်ပြီး လက်နက်ကြီးတွေနဲ့ တရစပ်တွန်းပစ်ပြီး အင်အား ၃၀၀ နဲ့ အကုန်တောနင်းပြီး ရှာနေတယ်။ Yesterday morning some children went hunting and bc they shot with tumee (flintlock), SAC thought they were being shot at and came at once with 300 soldiers and started beating the forest looking for them.
အဲထဲက သစ်ငံတောလို့ခေါ်တဲ့ တောတိုက်လေးက အိမ်ခြေ ၃၀ လောက် ရှိတဲ့ ရွာက အကုန် ထွက်ပြေးနေရတယ်။ So a small village called Thit Ngan Taw (Salty Forest ) of 300 households, all had to flee. သစ်ငံတောရဲ့မြောက်ဖက် ၂ မိုင်ခွဲလောက်ဝေးတဲ့ ယာကြီး၊ ရေယာဉ်၊ ရေဖြူ၊ ရွာမတို့ လေးရွာကလည်းအခု အကုန်လုံး ဘေးလွတ်ရာကို ထွက်ပြေးတိမ်း ရှောင်နေ ရတယ်။ All residents of 4 villages of Yar Gyi (Big Field) Yay Yin (Water Craft), Yay Hpyu (White Water) and Ywa Ma (Main Village), all lying about 2 miles N of Salty Forest, all had to flee.
အိမ်ရယ်လို့ နေရတဲ့အချိန်က နည်းနည်းပါ။ They is little time we stay in our homes. သူတို့အဖွဲ့တွေက အခုဆိုရင် ကနီမြို့ နယ်အတွင်းမှာ အင်အား ထောင်ဂဏန်းလောက်ထိ အင်အားသုံးပြီး ဖြန့်ဝင်နေတာ။"Their SAC has about a combined force of thousands in Kani region.
