Polish "full employment" economist Michal Kalecki-

Famous Polish economist whose theories preceded Keynes, was purged in 1968?  shortly before I arrived there for a diploma course in eco. planning.  He assumed, tellingly, that workers don't/can't save.  This is confirmed by data and personal stories in Hungary, which had  similar command economy as Poland, by evidence collected by James Michener for his historical novel/creative non-fiction novel The Bridge at Andau.  Basically, (Polish) or Socialist workers were kept as virtual slaves at near starvation level.  Kalecki died in 1970 -- a year after I returned to Burma.  I did not get to meet him as he was in forced retirement due to his Jewish origins.  I did see Joan Robinson (from a distance) who came to Burma and was hosted by my professors, Dr. Ronald Findlay and Dr. U Aye Hlaing.
