Excerpt from my novella--Band of Flesh--
The probers never stopped just with pinching and poking.
At times they wanted to look further into our dresses, to see if and how the band of flesh was exactly connected to our bodies.
Once one turned up my skirt.
I cried and Yang kicked and scratched him.
Mother stopped the show and refunded some of the tickets.
Quacks as well as doctors stood next to us when we were on display and expounded on why we were entirely different, even though we were Siamese twins.
Why is one so big, why is one so small?
Why are the heights a little different?
