I can't remember that I actually chaired a panel on FGM or Female Genital Mutilation here in 2003, before I wrote my short story FGM in about 2005--

I do remember how exceedingly busy I was during this Conference, trying to do too many things.

The late Leo Nichols--I met him and his wife once at a dinner party for "Timber friends." I left Burma in 1980s and heard of his death while working at RFA.
