Khin Aye Thett--I knew her since she was a child of 4 or 5--
Used to come with her parents. Dr Kyaw Thet was student of my father.
Both mother and father were poor parents.
Brilliant even as a child.
She used to sit with me on the steps of our open balcony, joking she always fell on her face because her forehead was so prominant.
When I came back from Poland, I invited her to a gathering.
She came beautifully dressed, her hair up in a French pleat.
She adnired the wooden brooch from Poland I was wearing.
Rumor was that her mother was in love with her boyrfriend--a poet whose name I have forgotten.
She didn't deserve to die.
RIP, Beautiful.

I went to the house which was opposite our Eco. Inst.--Aunty Mary sitting on the floor among all the floral offerings. I asked if Dr Kyaw Thet who was already overseas was coming.
She said, He's a coward.
He's not coming.
