I have just been reading Joanna Hickson's Red Rose, White Rose--about the Wars of the Roses, ending in the Battle of Wakefield, in which Cecily Neville lost her husband, Richard, Duke of York and her son Edmund, then 16.
Everywhere in the 15th century, including in SE Asian kingdoms, young men went to war at 16 and girls were married off at 12-14 (even if the marriages were not immediately consumated.)--for example--teenage kings and warriors--Tabinshwehti (Sole White Umbrella)--(Burmese) and Naresuan (Tai)--
Edward IV was the eldest son of the Duke of York and Cecily Neville, and ruled for 2 non-consecutive periods.
Eltham, near London is where I lived with my parents and siblings between the ages of 4 and 7--but we did not know about Eltham Palace, though my father U Kaung, took us to a great many places, including Stonehenge and we saw plays like Peter Pan--and a circus in which a man was shot from a cannon.
It's the little bit of England in my psyche and responsible for my English accent--

Jane Shore, mistress of Edward IV--who sounds bulimic--eating, then vomitting.
