RFA Burmese dirt - in Burmese - not independently verified yet, though 2-3 of 4-5 mentioned, told me on Sept 20th they were about to be fired

THIS IS A SHAMELESS TRANSGRESSION OF JUSTICE in a place supposed to be working for human rights and democracy. I thought what I went through in 1998-2001 was bad enough, at the hands of Soe Thinn, Nyane Shwe and Tin Htar Swe, but everyone has told me this is worse, and it sounds so. Broadcasting Board of Governors and the State Department should start an Inquiry. FYI in 90s, VOA Burmese chief at the time was fired due to going to Burma and having her picture taken with Khin Nyunt. Kyi Kyi May (Burmese section BBC head) was fired, according to a well known journalist whose name I cannot mention, because she fingered someone - a dissident whose name was only known to BBC top staff and the dissident was subsequently killed by the junta. KKM is in no way related to me - according to the Burmese naming system she was just born on the same day of the week. She subsequently went back to live in Burma and is a board member of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's Prospect Burma. Go figure. In 2001, my lawyer told me I could not sue RFA because they were set up by an Act of Congress, and "it was only job harassment, not sexual harassment". In 2006, according to DC Superior Court Records, on line at the time, RFA was fined $300,000 because Soe Thinn and Nyane Shwe asked someone the trick question "If we ask you to speak ill of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in an interview, will you do so". Soe Thinn lost his job due to the $300,000. Now he is paid even more? according to inside sources, and is acting as a "consultant". I dread to think what he may be advising. Also according to a highly placed inside source, RFA was slated to be merged with VOA Burmese Service in 2007, but their "Saffron Revolution" coverage caused them to win an award, so the axe was delayed. The thing is XYZ, one of the 4-5 mentioned as about to lose their jobs, or already lost their jobs, due to complaining (like I did) - told me at an NED (National Endowment for Democracy) meeting in 2007, that U Gambira after the Sept 27 crack down, was already on the run and the "leporters" were still calling him. The last time RFA reporters called him, the MI or Military Intelligence allowed him to pick up his cell phone, he did so and said he was in prison already, then the phone went dead. I know for a fact as I heard it with my own ears, that they kept U Gambira on the phone for 30 minutes!! and of course for 30 minutes there is lots of time to track and locate where the cell phone is. RFA reporters were calling him while he had already been located and circled by the MI, after the clampdown. If this is all true, and I think it is, then RFA has the blood of the monks on its hands also. U Gambira, as you know, suffered so many beatings in prison that he now suffers from strokes/fits and has disrobed for medical reasons. RFA Burmese, as writer below suggests, should just be shaken out, and after, the clean and good ones merged with VOA Burmese - It's a shame they think they control the air waves and can do what they like.
