Sometimes we must interfere. . . There is so much injustice and suffering crying out for our attention . . . writers and poets, prisoners in so many lands governed by the left and by the right." John Lennon's Imagine - Burma OIC 2012
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRhq-yO1KN8
"Imagine there's no country
it isn't hard to do
nothing to kill or die for
and no religion too --
"Imagine all the people
living life in peace
"You may say I'm a dreamer
but I'm not the only one
someday you will join us
and the world will live as one."
John Lennon.
In Burma, Bangkok Post and the Irrawaddy reported that "President Thein Sein gave in to the demands of the demonstrators" whereas it is very likely the Thein Sein government itself instigated the "demonstrations" against setting up an Office of Islamic Co-operation in Burma to monitor the Rohingya Muslim situation.
It does not look good - expect the US military delegation to talk toughly to Myanmar gov this week, or at least we hope so.

Once and for all to settle that Gautama Buddha was indeed an Indian, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY in Sept., and took dozens of photos of ancient statues of Prince Siddartha - or Boddhisatva Sakyamuni like this one -
He was indeed an Indian prince - just as Indian as any modern day Bollywood star.
