Paddle to the Sea - by Holling Clancy Holling -

This beautiful book reminds me of my first geography teacher, Mrs Hein Tin -
she taught me to draw my first map by drawing a map of the classroom, and thereafter taught world geography by opening the newspaper at random daily and "teaching" from there. It was the time of the conflict in Isreal.
She instilled in me a love of travel and place names.
Easily one of my handful of best teachers of all time, and certainly the earliest.
Thank you Mrs Hein Tin.
Look where I am now.
